I've Got A Gun

Like a lot of you i've been following the tragic story from Virginia Tech...It seems like the same story we've been hearing from other places...Somebody falls out of our world and falls into the world of the outcast...takes on the role of the avenger...pulls the trigger...and goes out in a blaze of gun fire and media glory...It is a sad story all around...Another lost soul wreaks revenge on the world that shunned him...The blame game part of the story is underway now...Should the admins at VT have done this...or done that...The rest of the story will unfold as the days go by...and as it does the familiar elements of previous events like this will fall into place...laws will be passed...lawsuits will be filed...you know the rest...But not much will really change in our world...Then someone else will be inspired by this tragic tale to take their frustrations out on the world in a similar way...then the whole series of chapters will repeat again...It's the madness of our age...everyone can take the stage...and go out in a blaze of glory on TV...i wrote a few lines of lyrics about it...i'm not proud of them...i'm not happy with them...but is all i've got to say...

That's So Beautiful

I was trying to write an oldie...a song that sounded like it came out of the 1960's....The title was stolen from the title of blog entry from one of my friends...The general theme was having a euphoric kind of a good time...I recorded this song at songwriters night at Guiseppi's Pizza...I was lucky that one of the pickers that night brought his mandolin...I'm in the higher range on my voice on this one...So I don't really sound like the same guy who sang "Choose Life" on my previous RapidShare track...Another thing...This was recorded on a plain old cassette recorder...sitting on a chair right in front of me...The link to the RapidShare file is below...Just make sure you choose the free option...Lyrics are below as well.

Piano On My Mind

I've come a long way
to get to where I am today
